Cusco Southern valley

The cradle of one of the most enigmatic civilizations in history and home to 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Peru is quite a special destination as you will discover over six fascinating days exploring the country. Visit beautiful colonial cities, expansive ancient ruins in the Southern Valley and discover some of the most spectacular landscapes on the planet in route to the magnificent Machu Picchu citadel and mountain.

Programme

Day 1 | Arrival Cusco - Sacred Valley | A transportation service awaits your arrival at the Cusco Airport to transfer you to your Sacred Valley hotel. On the way, stop and visit the Inkariy Museum, bringing pre-Columbian Peruvian cultures to life. 
Day 2 | Sacred Valley - Chinchero - Ollantaytambo |  Breakfast at the hotel. Start your day at Chinchero, a traditional Cusco urban centre located at an elevated point with a beautiful view of the valley.  Then, you are transferred to the Living Museum of Yucay, a centre of Andean handicraft traditions. Next, have lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a visit Ollantaytambo, making a series of stops at points of interest. 
Day 3 | Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cusco | Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Your tour to Machu Picchu begins with a train ride to Aguas Calientes.after a short transfer, reach Machu Picchu, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World
Day 4 | Cusco: City tour and archaeological sites | Breakfast at the hotel. Start your tour today by visiting Coricancha, also known as the ‘Temple of the Sun’, which was built by the Inca ruler Pachacutec. Next, visit the Cathedral, the most imposing monument in the Main Square. Continue your tour to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman
Day 5 | Cusco - Southern Valley | start your day with a visit to Tipon, a perfectly preserved archaeological site with 12 terraces that are still cultivated, and an irrigation system considered a masterpiece of hydraulic engineering still used by the neighbouring population. Next, continue to Pikillacta, considered one of the best-preserved pre-Inca cities in Peru corresponding to the Wari culture, ancestor of the Incas. Finally, visit Andahuaylillas, a village located 40 kilometres from Cusco, whose most important attraction is the San Pedro de Andahuaylillas Church.

Day 6 | Departure Cusco | A transportation service and guide will pick you up from your hotel at the established time and transfer you to the airport.
