Day 2 | Iquitos
You will wake up early to observe the sunrise over the Amazon River for the first time. After a delicious breakfast, with a wide variety of dishes, Peruvian specialities and fresh fruit juices, you will go on an excursion through the Yacapana Islands, inhabited by iguanas. Pass very close to the islands onboard of a motorboat, where you can get close to flora and fauna of the area. Also, fish the famous "piranhas", for which our nature guides will carry the proper implements. While the boat continues its journey through the Amazon River, you will have free time to rest or take a nap before lunch. After lunch, the guides will give a talk about native plants and animals. As the sun sets, you will have the opportunity to see and photograph the mythical pink water dolphins, and there is the possibility of observing some macaws, toucans, sloths and monkeys. You will return to the cruise for dinner, but first, we recommend drinking a Pisco Sour as an appetiser on the upper deck, while watching the sunset.
